A spotlight link puts one product front and center, with your full store visible below. When someone visits yourname.ownyour.store/coaching, they see your coaching offer prominently, plus easy access to browse everything else you sell.
This gives you the best of both worlds — focused promotion of your key product, while keeping the discoverability of your complete store.
Setting up a spotlight URL
Edit any product in your dashboard and find the "Spotlight URL" field. Enter a short, memorable word that describes your product — like coaching, course, members, or book.
Your spotlight URL will be: yourname.ownyour.store/[your-word]. Keep it simple and easy to remember for your audience.
Best practices for spotlight URLs
Choose words your audience already associates with your offer. If you always talk about your "masterclass," use /masterclass. If it's your "VIP community," use /vip.
Avoid generic terms like "product" or "buy" — your URL should hint at what makes your offer unique. Think about what your audience would type or remember naturally.
Where to use spotlight links
Spotlight links excel in places where you have limited space or want focused attention. Put them in your Instagram bio, TikTok profile, or anywhere you need a short, memorable URL.
They're perfect for live streams, podcast mentions, or content where you're promoting one specific thing. Say "go to yourname.ownyour.store/coaching" instead of explaining how to navigate your full store.
Managing multiple spotlight URLs
You can create spotlight URLs for multiple products, but only use them strategically. Having both /coaching and /course is fine if they're genuinely different offers.
Update spotlight URLs seasonally or when you launch new products. If you're promoting a limited-time offer, temporarily give it the spotlight URL, then switch back to your core product afterward.
