Pause a Subscription
Sometimes members need a temporary break from their subscription — maybe they're traveling, taking a hiatus, or dealing with financial difficulties. Pausing keeps them connected without charging them, and billing resumes automatically after 30 days.
Find the member
Go to your dashboard and open the Members tab. Search for the member by name or email, or scroll through your member list to find them. Click on their name to open their member profile.
Only active subscription members can be paused. One-time purchases and already-cancelled subscriptions don't have pause options.
Enable pause functionality
In the member's profile, look for the subscription details section. If you don't see a Pause Subscription button, you need to enable this feature first.
Go to Store Settings → Subscriptions and toggle on Allow Subscription Pausing. This enables the pause functionality across your entire store for all applicable memberships.
Pause the subscription
Back in the member's profile, click Pause Subscription. Confirm the action in the modal that appears. The member's subscription is immediately paused for 30 days.
During the pause, the member keeps access to all content but won't be charged. Their status changes to Paused and they disappear from your active MRR until billing resumes.
Manage paused members
Paused members appear in your Members list with Paused status. After 30 days, their subscription automatically resumes and they return to Active status with normal billing.
If needed, you can manually resume a paused subscription early by clicking Resume Subscription in their member profile before the 30-day period ends.
