Your Store Address

When you sign up, you choose a store address — like yourname.ownyour.store. That address is permanent. Your members always know where to find you, and every link you share keeps working.

What your store address is

Your store address is the public URL where your store lives — for example, yourname.ownyour.store. It is set when you claim your store name during signup.

This address appears on your public store, in emails your members receive, and in any links you share. It is how people find you on OwnYour.

Your address is permanent

Once you claim your store name, it does not change. This is intentional — it means every link you share, every email your members receive, and every bookmark they save continues to work. Nothing breaks when you grow.

Permanence is a feature, not a limitation. Your store has a stable home from day one.

Choosing a name that represents you

Because your address is permanent, it is worth choosing thoughtfully. The best store names are short, professional, and immediately recognizable — your name, your brand, or what you do.

For example: sarahsmith, thebakehouse, coachwithkyle. Avoid numbers, hyphens, or anything tied to a moment in time — your store name should represent you for years, not just right now.

Want a different public address?

If you want your store to be accessible at your own domain — like yourbrand.com — you can connect a custom domain from the Settings tab in your dashboard. Both your ownyour.store address and your custom domain work simultaneously, so no links break.

See Custom Domain for step-by-step instructions.
