Offer a Free Trial
Your member gets 30 days to decide if your membership is right for them — at no cost. If they love it, they convert automatically. If they cancel before the trial ends, they're charged nothing. Here's how to set it up.
Open your membership product
Go to your dashboard and open the Content tab. Find your membership product and click Edit. Free trials are available on subscription products only — monthly and annual memberships.
If you haven't set up a membership yet, see Set Up a Membership first.
Set the trial length
In the product edit modal, find the Free Trial field. Enter a number between 1 and 30 — this is how many days new members get before their first charge. Leave the field empty to offer no trial.
The trial applies to new subscribers only. Existing members are unaffected when you add or change a trial period.
Save and share
Click Save. Your membership now shows the trial offer on your store. When a new member subscribes, Stripe collects their card details but charges nothing until the trial period ends.
Members who cancel during the trial pay nothing. Members who stay convert automatically to a paying subscription on day one of their first billing cycle.
Track trial members
Trial members appear in your Members list with a Trialing status. Once their trial converts, their status updates to Active and they appear in your MRR.
