Reward your audience and boost sales with custom discount codes. Create percentage discounts, fixed amount savings, or special offers for specific products. Track redemption rates and see which codes drive the most revenue.
Creating your first discount code
In your dashboard, go to the Discounts tab and click + Create Discount Code. Choose a memorable code name like WELCOME20 or FLASH50 — customers will type this exactly, so keep it clear and simple.
Select either a percentage discount (like 20% off) or a fixed amount (like $10 off). Percentage discounts work well for higher-priced items, while fixed amounts feel more generous on lower-priced products.
Setting discount parameters
Choose which products your discount applies to — all products, specific categories, or individual items. You can also set a minimum purchase amount to encourage larger orders.
Set an expiration date to create urgency, or leave it open-ended for evergreen codes. You can also limit the total number of redemptions if you want to create exclusivity.
How customers use discount codes
When customers visit your store, they'll see a "Have a discount code?" link during checkout. They enter your code and the discount applies immediately, showing them exactly how much they're saving.
The discount appears on their receipt and in your sales dashboard, so you can track which codes are driving the most conversions and revenue.
Discount code strategies
Use discount codes strategically to drive specific behaviors. Create FIRST10 for new customers, COMEBACK20 for win-back campaigns, or VIP15 for your most engaged followers.
Time-limited codes work great for product launches, flash sales, or seasonal promotions. Share them in stories, live streams, or email to create excitement and urgency.
Tracking and optimization
Your Discounts dashboard shows redemption rates, total savings given, and revenue generated for each code. Use this data to understand what discounts resonate most with your audience.
Codes that aren't performing can be deactivated or modified. Successful codes can be replicated with similar offers or used as templates for future promotions.
