How referrals work
Your OwnYour referral link is in your dashboard under Settings → Referrals. Every time someone signs up through it, you earn 20% of whatever they pay, every month, for as long as they stay. No cap. No tiers. No applications.

How much do I earn per referral?
You earn 20% of every payment your referred creator makes. If they are on Starter at $29/mo, you earn $5.80 every month they stay. If they are on Pro at $99/mo, you earn $19.80 every month they stay. Annual plans earn the same 20% on the annual payment. There is no cap on how many creators you can refer.
Who can be an affiliate?
Only OwnYour users. You must have an active OwnYour account — Hold, Starter, or Pro, any billing type — to have a referral link. Your link lives in your dashboard because it belongs to someone who actually uses the product. There is no public affiliate signup and no affiliate-for-hire program.
How does someone become my referral?
Anyone who signs up for OwnYour through your referral link — ownyour.store?ref=yoursubdomain — is automatically tracked as your referral. You do not need to do anything after sharing the link. Attribution is captured the moment they land on the page.
Where is my referral link?
In your dashboard under Settings → Referrals. It is unique to your store subdomain. Copy it and share it anywhere — your bio, your content, your emails to your audience.
When do I get paid?
Referral credits are tracked automatically on every payment your referrals make. Payouts are being built now and will be available soon. Every credit earned today will be paid out when the payout system launches — nothing is lost.
What happens if my referral cancels?
Credits accumulate only while your referral is an active paying subscriber. If they cancel, credits stop. If they resubscribe later, credits resume. You are never charged back for credits already earned.
Does it matter which plan my referral signs up on?
No. You earn 20% whether they choose Starter or Pro, monthly or annual. You also earn 20% regardless of which plan you are on yourself.
Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?
No limit. Refer one creator or one thousand — you earn 20% on every one of them, every month, for as long as they stay.
What if someone signs up without using my link?
Only signups through your referral link are attributed to you. If someone signs up directly without your link, it cannot be retroactively attributed. Share your link early and often.
Can I see my referral stats?
A full referral dashboard showing your referrals, monthly credits, and payout history is being built. It will appear in your dashboard when ready. Every referral made today is already being tracked.
